Elderly man arrested with three marijuana plants in Panchagarh

Police have arrested an elderly man named Abdul Matin (55) for cultivating marijuana in a chili field in Sadar Upazila of Panchagarh.

This information was disseminated on the Facebook page of Panchagarh District Police on Friday night.

 Today, on 13/06/2025, SI/Md. Abu Hossain, along with SI Abu Taher, SI Sadequl, and the accompanying officer force, conducted a raid based on secret information and arrested the accused Abdul Matin (55), father of Hashem Ali, from the chilli field of village Mehena Bita, Sadar Panchagarh, along with three fresh carrot plants planted and cultivated by him, at 10.45 pm. A case is under process of registration at Sadar Police Station in this regard.

Panchagarh Sadar Police Station OC Abdullah Hill Zaman said that a case has been filed against the drug dealer.
